Biography

Girijasankar Mallik was born and brought up and educated in India. He obtained a B. Sc. (Honours in Statistics), M. Sc. (Statistics) and Ph. D. in Applied Econometrics from India. Currently he is working in the University of Western Sydney, Australia as a Senior Lecturer since 2000. Recently, Girija has received the best teacher’s award from the College of Business, University of Western Sydney.

 He has published over 40 referred journal articles, 11 conference proceedings and presented 32 papers in several prestigious conferences including American Economic Association conference. His papers has been publishes in Economic Modelling. Regional studies, Journal of International Business Studies, Physica A, Empirical Economics and others. 7 students has received Ph.D. under his supervision.

 His Research interest includes:

i)                    Importance of Mathematics in Tertiary Education.

ii)                  Inflation uncertainty and Growth.

iii)                Stock Market volatility and Growth.
