Biography
Ian Nalson was trained as an economic historian at the University of New England, Armidale, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts, with First Class Honours in Economic History in 1985 after taking leave from employment in the Australian Public Service. In 1993 Ian was awarded a Ph.D from Macquarie University, Sydney, where he completed a thesis in the area of English economic and financial history. From 1993 ? 2001, Ian held a number of fixed term and casual appointments at the University of Western Sydney, initially teaching early modern European History in the then History department, and from 1994, a variety of economics and finance subjects in the School of Economics and Finance. In 2002, Ian was appointed to his current position as Lecturer in Economics and Finance. In 2003, he completed a Master of Applied Finance (with Distinction) at UWS.
