Dr Julie Wen works in the areas of sustainability, development and tourism. Will the gap between the rich and poor on the global scale continue to expand? Do we need to worry about our food security? Will tourism help rural areas? These are areas Julie is concerned. Originally came from China, Julie is engaged in research on Chinese society shift, economic reform and privatisation, and regional disparity across China. Not a pretty picture behind all the economic booms but it is our responsibility to make the society aware of the consequences and options.
