Biography

Dr Michael Kennedy is the Head of UWS Bachelor of Policing programme. He is the author of The Police: Means, Ends and the Rule of Law, which is Marxist-Gramscian challenge of class, agency, corruption and reform in ?progressive? analyses of policing.

Between 1978 and 1996 Michael was a detective in the New South Wales Police. During this time Michael worked as a detective at the Bureau of Crime Intelligence, Organised Crime Squad, Major Crime Squad and the NSW State Crime Commission. Michael has also worked in partnership with the Brigade de repression du Proxenetisme and the Brigade du protection des Mineurs in Paris.
