Biography

Dr Qiuyan Fan is a lecturer at School of Management, University of Western Sydney (UWS) where she teaches a variety of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has been supervising and co-supervising PhD students and honours students over the past few years at UWS. Qiuyan was awarded a PhD in 2006. Her doctorate research looked at how Australian government policies influence Internet access. She has also been a ?research active? academic at the UWS. Over the last few years she has published a number of refereed Journal articles, book chapters and refereed conference papers. Her full refereed publications since 2000 are listed below. Dr Fan has a particular research interest in the issues surrounding e-government, e-commerce/e-business, and broadband as well as information resource management. Her recent research is focusing on the long term sustainability of e-business/e-government projects. She is also interested in research on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the context of China. Dr Fan had extensive industry experience in China. She had been actively involved in research and professional activities in the context of China and international organization APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation). Her experiences in the Chinese industry include government policy analysis and business strategy development and management.
