Research

During my research career, I have focused on the following areas in computer networking: network security, connectivity of P2P networks, MAC protocols for wireless networks, position-based routing and node deployment algorithms for wireless networks, privacy and trust in online social networks, and energy efficiency in data centre networks. In terms of theories and skills, I have expertise in graph theory, computational geometry, linear programming, NP-hardness proof, ns-2 simulations, C++ programming. My current research interests lie in:

  • Routing and node deployment algorithms for wireless networks
  • Mobile data offloading
  • Security and trust issues in online social networks, wireless networks, and data centre networks
  • Software Defined Networking
  • Energy efficiency in different types of networks.

Very welcome to discuss with me if you share similar research interests. I am also looking for PhD students who are interested in working on related areas. Interested students are welcome to drop me a line.
