Biography
Dan Binns is a writer and producer based in Sydney.
Dan produced The Aussie Who Baffled the World (National Geographic) and the television series The Code: Life with the HSBC Waratahs (Fox Sports).
In 2013, Dan is completing a doctoral dissertation on war cinema, and teaches film and media studies at a tertiary level. He is also producing an international documentary on Studio Victorine on the French Riviera.

Research
In May 2013, Dan submitted his doctoral thesis, entitled "Theatres of Representation: Discourses of War and Cinema." He has co-authored a paper with Dr. Paul Ryder discussing representations of the Normandy landings of 6 June 1944. He is presently composing research surrounding transmedia adaptations of board games and videogames into cinema, and furthering the analysis methodology posited in his doctoral research.
Dan is also developing an edited compendium with an academic colleague, and has taught into media and film studies units at the University of Sydney, and the University of Western Sydney.
