Biography
Married to Susan; Father of seven children; Grandfather of five
Teacher in primary education since 1973, Mathematics consultant (1996 - 2001), Assessment advisor (2004 - 2006) with NSW Department of Education since 1973. Retired from full time service in July 2011.
Teaching at Bald Face PS (3-6), Gilgandra PS (5), Plumpton PS (K-6), Blaxland East PS (K-6 and RFFTF), Surveyers Creek PS (3), Mt Druitt PS (P-6).
Facilitating and coordinating changes in Mathematics curriculum and teaching; introduction and development of technology in learning, assessing and reporting for improved learning outcomes, technology based school reporting; Developing and advising implementation of Connected Outcomes Groups and associated units of work; advising and facilitating Quality Teaching policy and implementation in schools; developing and facilitating BST, NAPLAN implementation and analyses in schools; developing , implementing and advising policy and its application in schools for Assessing and Reporting with standard 5 grade ahievement scales.

Research
Design and analysis of student performance interviews to investigate performance errors in BST and NAPLAN. Investigating activities and mathematical models to develop optimum learning in the Framework in Number. Analysis of survey results of teacher concerns and responses to imposition of standard 5 grade achievement scales for reporting learning outcomes. Investigating assessment and reporting practices in schools. Comparing Mathematics curriculum policy implementation with the influence and implementation of text book implementation in schools. Investigating perceptions of learning difference and teacher responses in applyong curriculum in class rooms.
