Biography
Michelle began working in the School of Accounting at the University of Western Sydney in 1999. In addition to her current role as Lecturer, Michelle has gained experience working in the College of Business and Law Dean’s Unit as Head of Program (Core) for the Bachelor of Business and Commerce.
On joining the university, Michelle’s teaching and research interests were primarily in the area of management accounting, where she had considerable industry experience. However, since teaching financial planning in 2003, Michelle has pursued her research interests in financial planning.
Prior to becoming an academic, Michelle worked for over ten years in various financial and management accounting positions where she worked in budgeting, costing, corporate reporting, tender preparation, change management, systems redesign, and acquisition. Michelle has also worked as a consultant.
