Biography
Rachel has worked for the past 30 years in television production and operations in Sydney and the U.K. and is currently CEO, Television Sydney (TVS) Digital 44 and Director of Engagement, School of Humanities and Communication Arts, University of Western Sydney, Australia.
Rachel’s previous roles include Head of Training for the Sydney Olympic Broadcasting Organisation, Manager of Television and Corporate Training at the Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and roles as director and producer at Grundys Television, BSkyB, London Weekend Television and the Nine and Ten networks. As a television Producer, Rachel has developed programs for TVS which include Histrionics,Shelf Life, Small Biz Central, Science Spectrum , and a weekly news program for Television Sydney in partnership with Fairfax Media.
Rachel’s academic qualifications include: Master of Arts (Media Education), UNSW; Graduate Diploma in Media, Communication and Technology Law, Melbourne Law School, University of Melbourne; Grad Diploma in Education, Newcastle University and a BA in Communications, CCAE.
In 2002 joined University of Western Sydney as Course Coordinator of Masters of Convergent Media and Assoc Head of School of Communications – Development and International.
