Biography
General Surgeon with an interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Chair of Surgery, University of Western Sydney, Blacktown Hospital Campus.
Dr Edye is a native of NSW, studied medicine at the University of Sydney, and trained in surgery at the Royal North Shore Hospital and the University of Bordeaux, II, France. He returns to Sydney after 20 years in New York where he practiced advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Initiated the first laparoscopic donor nephrectomy program in the Northeast of the United States at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York in 1996.
Techniques to increase the durability of laparoscopic repair of paraesophageal hiatal hernia.
Correlation of kidney volume predicted by axial imaging with kidney weight.
Residual renal function in live kidney donors as determined by mass of removed renal tissue.
