Biography
Wei Xing Zheng received his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics as well as his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China. From 1984 to 1991, he was with the Institute of Automation at Southeast University, first as a Lecturer and later as an Associate Professor. Between 1991 and 1994, he was a Research Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, U.K.; in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Western Australia in Perth; and in the Australian Telecommunications Research Institute at Curtin University of Technology in Perth. Since 1994, Dr Zheng has been with the University of Western Sydney, where he currently holds the rank of Professor.
