Cycle 2 AUQA Key Improvement Priorities

A UWS-wide Cycle 2 self-assessment was undertaken between June and October 2009. Action for improvement is being undertaken in the following areas:

• Developing an agile UWS
• Implementing an Indigenous Graduate Attribute and supporting Indigenous student recruitment and transition
• Optimising retention and providing English and mathematics support for our students
• First year student transition
• Optimising assessment quality and support
• Academic standards 
• Internationalising the curriculum
• Sustainability in the curriculum
• The next steps in ICT-enabled and blended learning at UWS
• Staff performance management and development
• Growing our post-graduate programs and HDR enrolments
• Offshore international student experience
• Onshore international student transition and support
• The distinctive UWS student experience

Proven approaches to each of these areas will be identified by staff from across the University.
