Management Information and Statistics

Statistical reports (staff login required), including course performance and survey results, are uploaded regularly.

The Office of Planning and Quality:

  • Coordinates the design, implementation and reporting on the UWS Tracking and Improvement System
     
  • Develops accessible management information and diagnostic reports on key areas of UWS performance. The University's Executive Information Systems (EIS) is built using Cognos PowerPlay software, which allows users to easily access different views of the data in various levels of detail
     
  • Helps ensure the integrity of data being drawn from other databases including the Callista student system
     
  • Assists with the planning, modelling and allocation of student load across colleges and campuses 
  • Develops high level briefing papers for the University Executive to facilitate decision making on a range of educational and financial issues, including DEEWR student load and funding 
     
  • Assists the University to produce reports and submissions to DEEWR and other external agencies, such as the Institution Performance Portfolio (opens in a new window) and Compacts (opens in a new window)
     
  • Collects and analyses information to provide strategic intelligence to the University Executive on a range key policy issues and trends, including economic, demographic, technological and social developments
