2011 Senior Management Conference
The University of Western Sydney is in a position of strength to move forward in key areas which will position UWS as a university known for opportunity and excellence.
The annual Senior Management Conference provides an important opportunity to bring together senior staff to discuss the challenges and opportunities for growth and to provide input into the development of integrated and linked strategies and actions for UWS’s next stage of growth.
"UWS in Transition: The Challenges and Opportunities of Growth" was the theme of the 2011 Senior Management Conference held on Friday 8 July 2011 at the WatervieW Convention Centre, Bicentennial Park, Homebush. Over 70 senior staff participated in this year’s Senior Management Conference from academic and divisional areas.
Presentations and discussions focussed on an overview of UWS’ achievements and next steps in strengthening academic and research initiatives and activities, and within the context of the international sector landscape and academic risk management in relation to the following domains:
• Academic program planning
• Student voice
• Staffing capacity
• Trimester
• ICT enabled learning
• Research profile
• Engagement
• Campuses, resources and infrastructure
