2011 Quality Forum  

"Opportunity and excellence: telling our quality story"

 

The 2011 Quality Forum will be held on 21st March 2011 at the WatervieW Convention Centre, Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park.

The Forum focuses on our improvement work in the two priority areas which are also our cycle 2 AUQA audit themes: 

  • Academic standards and assessment - excellence
  • Commencing student transition and retention - opportunity

The day is structured to give an overview of what has been achieved so far, to clarify what others are doing and to work together on how we can best assist each other to address our improvement priorities and prepare for the AUQA audit visit in early May 2011.

Aims of the Day

The Quality Forum theme is: "Opportunity and excellence: telling our quality story" and the aim of the Forum is to:

  1. Receive a status report on UWS performance from the Vice-Chancellor.
  2. Give an overview of how the AUQA audit process works and the timetable leading up to the visit by the audit panel to UWS on 8th-12th May 2011.
  3. Ensure that we are all clear on the key improvement themes being addressed in the audit, our contribution to them and the overall frameworks that underpin our work on them.
  4. Work together to identify areas of current good practice and those requiring further improvement action.
  5. Identify the most feasible and productive ways to engage colleagues and students with the audit portfolio, process and visit.
