Student ID Card

When you have enrolled at UWS you will need to apply for a Student ID card. This card should be carried with you at all times. You will use this card for Library and photocopier services, accessing IT services, and for identification purposes while you are on campus and in examinations.

It is a misconduct offence if a student refuses or is unable to identify him/herself when asked to do so by an officer of the University (eg. security officer, examination invigilator).

You can apply for your Student ID card at any Student Centre once you have enrolled. You will need photo ID, for example, a Drivers Licence or passport, before your card can be issued. It takes around ten minutes to produce the card, and around an hour before the card is active.

If you are eligible for a travel concession, you can arrange that at the same time as your ID card.

If you lose your card, you will need to pay a $25.00 replacement fee. This fee will only be waived if you are able to produce a Police Report which advises that the card has been stolen. Payment for a replacement ID card can be made using iPay.

To collect your replacement card, take your iPay receipt to a Student Centre. You must attend the Student Centre in person, as a new photograph will need to be taken.
