Travel Concessions

Eligibility

To be eligible for a travel concession pass you must:

» Be classified as a local student.
» Be enrolled as a full time student attending day classes.
» Not be in receipt of any remuneration (excluding Scholarships and allowances such as Austudy and Youth Allowance) 
» Not be engaged in business or employment.
» Not be a full fee paying overseas student.

How to apply

You will need to complete an Application for Student Travel Concessions.

If approved eligible students will receive a travel concession imprint or sticker on their Student ID card.

Concession stickers are current for one year only. You will need to get a replacement sticker for each subsequent year of full time study.

Replacement stickers

You will need to complete a form that is endorsed by a Student Centre Officer before presenting to State Rail for a replacement. A State Rail fee applies for any replacement stickers.
