Virtual UWS, or vUWS (pronounced views) is the name of the e-learning system at UWS and provides a range of online learning tools that your lecturer might use. The contents of each site is setup by your lecturer, to suit specific needs of the unit or course.
Accessing vUWS
To access vUWS, go to the Login Page and use your MyUWSAccount ID and password to login.
Once you have logged in, you will have access to all the unit and course related sites you are enrolled in.
Please note:
1. Not all units and courses have an vUWS site.
2. You must be fully enrolled to view your vUWS sites.
3. If you have any outstanding fees an encumbrance will be applied and you will lose access to your vUWS sites until the encumbrance is lifted.
All vUWS sites are different. Explore your online site(s) and check information such as unit outlines, calendars and other resources provided to find out what you have to do in the site and how much time you are expected to spend online.
Spend some time familiarising yourself with the tools provided for you in each of your sites. During semester, regularly check your online unit content, discussion board and email, as they may be updated at any time.
If you are still unsure of what you are required to do within your vUWS site, ask your lecturer or tutor.
If you have any problems with using the tools provided in your site, click on the Help link in the right hand side of the top bar within vUWS.
Be sure to check your computer and Internet browser meet the requirements and are configured for optimal use with vUWS.
