Academic Advising

Academic Advising sessions offer students the opportunity to find out more about their course and receive assistance in selecting units for study or applying for Advanced Standing.

Students enrolling in Bachelor of Arts, Master of Teaching, Bachelor of Social Science, Bachelor of Social Science/Law combined degree courses, or postgraduate business administration courses should read the important information linked from this text.

» Local Academic Advising - information for 2009 will be available late January 2009.

» International Academic Advising for Autumn Session 2009 will commence Monday 16 February 2009. An academic advising schedule will be available closer to the date.

If you would like hands-on assistance with online enrolment, supported computer labs will be open on the days when Academic Advising sessions are scheduled. Full details are available on the MySR Help page.

• Master of Business Administration; Graduate Diploma in Business Administration; Graduate Certificate in Business Administration
• Master of Applied Finance; Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance
• Master of Finance
• Master of International Trade and Finance
• Master of Business (Marketing); Graduate Certificate in Marketing
• Master of International Business; Graduate Certificate in International Business

If you will be applying for Advanced Standing you will need to provide:

» an Advanced Standing application form
» certified copies of original documents or originals and copies for us to certify
» unit outlines for units you have completed elsewhere and are seeking credit for.

If you are seeking Advanced Standing based on UWS studies you do not need to bring copies of transcripts or unit outlines.
