Bringing Sustainability to Life

UWS aims to incorporate a focus on sustainability in all of its activities - in research, learning and teaching, engagement with its region and in its campus operations.

In addition UWS is actively seeking to establish itself as a living laboratory in its initiatives to green its operations in areas like water, buildings, campuses, transport, recycling, waste, research, curriculum, students, community interaction and administration.

UWS research, development and educational activities involve working in partnership with a wide range Greater Western Sydney groups to address those aspects of social, economic and environmental sustainability which most affect such a rapidly developing urban area.
