The Sydney Consortium is an initiative of the Writing and Society Research Centre and brings together some of Sydney's leading cultural institutions. Our partners in the consortium include-

The Australian Museum(opens in a new window)- An important natural history museum that is also produces scientific research and engages with the cultural world.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia(opens in a new window)- One of Australia's leading contemporary art institutions that is "dedicated to exhibiting, collecting and interpreting the work of today’s artists."

The State Library of NSW(opens in a new window)- An important archival resource for many writers and artists "the State Library aims to collect, preserve and make accessible the documentary heritage of NSW."

The Sydney Writers' Festival (opens in a new window)- "Australia’s largest annual celebration of literature and ideas."

We encourage our MA students to engage with our partners and do whatever we can to facilitate that engagement.
