Who should do this course?
The Certificate IV in Personal Trust Administration is designed for people currently working in the personal trust industry who:
- administer estates
- administer trusts
- prepare wills for clients
- establish and administer powers of attorney.

How is the course delivered?
This is a distance course delivered via online learning.
The program will be delivered via University of Western Sydney's online learning platform, vUWS. When you enrol, you will be given access to learner guides, unit resources, self-test quiz and assessment requirements online. You will also be able to contact others enrolled in the same unit(s), the unit trainer and course administration.

In Semester 1, 2013, the program will run from 18 March to 7 June.

What is covered in each unit?
You can access the full description of each unit that is included in the certificate by visiting www.training.gov.au(opens in a new window) and entering the course name (above) into the nationally recognised training search field.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will typically consist of written answers to questions, responses to case studies and completion of work-related tasks, based on the unit(s) of competency. Other assessment methods, such as work-based projects or tests, may be used from time to time.
When will I be assessed?
Each unit will have a date for assessments to be submitted. These dates will be notified at the commencement of each semester.
A late assessment fee of $65 per assessment will be charged where an assessment is received after the completion date for the unit.
What happens if I'm not successful?
You will be notified whether you are "Competent" or "Not Yet Competent" for each unit at the end of the semester. If you have not demonstrated competency, you will receive feedback and be given the opportunity to resubmit assessments.
If you do not demonstrate competency after resubmission, you will be required to re-enrol in that unit.
