Become a Licensed Business Agent or Manager

The Property, Stock and Business Agents Act 2002 describes the work of a business agent as:

the selling, buying or exchanging or disposing of businesses or professional practices and negotiating for the sale, purchase, exchange or disposition of businesses or professional practices or any share or interest in or concerning or the goodwill of or any stocks connected with businesses or professional practices.

In order to qualify for a licence as a business agent, you must provide evidence of attaining all of the following units of competency from the Property Services Training Package (CPP07). These units of competency make up the full qualification CPP40507 Certificate IV in Property Services (Business Broking). The underpinning knowledge must be based on New South Wales law.
