About
The UWSCollege Diploma in Health Science (PDHPE) aims to produce students who are fully prepared for study in the Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Western Sydney (UWS). The diploma provides students with the first year units included in the Bachelor of Health Science (PDHPE), covering introductory science and communication and health aspects of the bachelor course.The PDHPE course brings together a comprehensive foundation of health sciences, understanding of physical activity and personal development, and skills in interacting with people.

Minimum entry requirements are successful* completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent or UWSCollege University Foundation Studies or equivalent.
Students are also assumed to have completed study in Mathematics at senior high school level.
For students who have completed their HSC, the ATAR entry requirement for this course is ATAR > 52 (indicative).
For students who have completed UWSCollege University Foundations Studies, the entry requirements are:
- a Grade Point Average of 5.5 or higher
- a "C" grade at University Foundation Studies English.
Note: Entry scores are indicative only. Other factors may be taken into consideration.
* Successful completion means gaining a 50% pass in all required units.
Successful completion of the Diploma in Health Science (PDHPE) provides advanced standing of 80 credit points (equivalent to a year of study) in the Bachelor of Health Science (PDHPE) at UWS.
To successfully complete your diploma, you will need at least a 50% pass in all required units.
