Staff Profile Management System

Staff Profile Management System

A new staff profile management system is currently being rolled out across UWS.

Why a new staff profile management system?

The new staff profiles management system will ensure that UWS staff members are providing valuable information to national and international research colleagues, industry partners, organisations, UWS colleagues and current and potential students.

The new system will also include a range of fields which automatically populate data from UWS systems to avoid needing to go multiple sources to make updates or changes.

What information fields will there be in the new profiles?

The new profiles will include a variety of fields including:
-    Contact details
-    Qualifications
-    Biography
-    Awards
-    Committees
-    Publications
-    Multimedia links
-    Research activities
-    Research supervision

What can I do to prepare for the new system?

The new system will contain a range of fields which draw data from existing UWS systems. Please ensure that your information is up to date and relevant in these systems:

Rhesys Publications (Researcher Portal)

Rhesys Research Activities (Researcher Portal)

Staff Directory

Alesco (Staff Online & HR)

What benefits does the new system provide?

The new user-friendly system is a significant improvement on previous systems as there will be profiles for all UWS staff members, there will be greater consistency across profiles published on the website and the new profile management system has a dedicated search function.

The search function will be useful in locating higher degree research supervisors, academic areas of expertise and media experts.

Will Professional staff members also have new profiles?

Yes. Professional staff members will also have profiles published on the UWS website via the new staff profile management system.

Professional staff members are encouraged to upload further information about themselves to their profiles which could include awards/achievements, committee representation, memberships, areas of experience and biographies.

What will happen to the UWS profiles currently published on the web?

Gradually these pages will begin to be taken down from and replaced with the new profiles. In some circumstances current profiles will remain on the UWS website, in addition to the new profiles.

If I have a query about the new staff profile management system who should I contact?

If you have any further queries please contact the staff profiles team via staffprofiles@lists.uws.edu.au
